👋🏾 Hi, welcome to The Offhours Weekly, a share of illustrations, drawings, thoughts and links. Thanks for being here, you’re amazing, tell a friend.
Cheers
This will be the last issue for 2023. Wow! This year has flown by. Hope you are spending quality time with loved ones, and enjoying annual traditions. Personally, I look forward to specific foods and drinks (Jamaican black cake & sorrel drink) that I grew up with, and the change over in calendar year. A reset.
Hope you had an amazing year! Cheers and happy holidays to you!
FYI - Wrote a few issues pre paternity leave 😊 (including this one). Diving into the daily drawing archive. Future posts will be scheduled when time allows.
This Week’s Drawing
An update of an old drawing that I mocked up on a wall, in what looks to be a Brooklyn like space. The old school TV pile I’ve had versions of in sketch books over the years. I’ve gone through my black and white drawings recently and have been getting inspiration, as I try to hone in on some ideas I have bouncing around my brain.
This may be the direction I go moving forward with new works. Who knows? The more I write these issues for substack, the more I piece together things that I thought weren’t related. Sometimes you have to see how things unravel to see how they form one thread.
I’ve never done a mural before—so I had to at least mock one up. It’s on my list of prime assignments if the universe so chooses. Gotta put the energy out right?
Music Vibes 🎧
“Runaway” - Christian Rich - One of my favorite production duos.

“How to Make a Collage” - This video brings me great joy as Helina Metaferia demonstrates various techniques and shows how to craft a collage. I have an ongoing practice of creating collages, which I have been doing for the last 6 years.
Thanks for subscribing. Happy New Year!
Stay Wonderful.
