šš¾ Hi, welcome to The Offhours Weekly, a share of illustrations, drawings, thoughts and links. Thanks for being here, youāre amazing, tell a friend.
Neutral
Iāve been going through old drawings and thinking of the feelings I had at the time. I did a daily drawing project back in 2015-2016, where I drew something and posted to my social media pages up to five times a week. I had the time and energy back then. Energy I wish I could have bottled up to use now. That practice taught me a lot about myself, letting go of imperfections, generating ideas and sticking with a practice. Just like writing these issues, Iām learning a lot about what fuels me, while creating a record of work I can look back on.
These drawings featured here take me back to the start of that daily grind. Black and white, sharp and clean drawings without the noise. As much as I love diving into color, I always personally prefer the initial black and white sketches. The vintage computer I created to post as a landing image for my website earlier this year, and the flowers below I drafted for a client project.
Throwback
Iām compiling images of my past daily drawing practice to feature in these weekly issues. There are a lot of drawings I still enjoy, and some may be new for you. I will be expanding on stories surrounding the inspiration for the drawings.
